Title : Managing Knowledge Through Crisis and Disruptions: The Need to ‘Know’ Yesterday, Plan Today,  Be Ready for Tomorrow.

    Time: 1500H – 1600H ( GMT +8)  Via Zoom

When we think of KM for the future, is KM in the present a good place to start?  And the present is a time of disruption.  What is the KM “value-add” proposition in these unprecedented times? What the COVID disruption will lead to in terms of future ‘normal’, business and innovation is still unfolding.  What we do know today is that it has brought along with it the need for isolation, quarantine, social distancing, a whole new work environment we are forced to follow.

In the absence of physical meetings and face to face conversations, are KM teams enabling virtual knowledge sharing, capture, access, and collaboration? Are teams able to effectively transfer information and knowledge and incorporate organisational  knowledge management?  What are the challenges or key task at hand for knowledge retention?

Some of the key findings from a recently conducted survey to understand the KM journey and how KM professionals see the future unfolding for KM as impacted by disruption, will draw out these answers to conclude, that progress efficiencies come through the need to better ‘know’ yesterday to be ready for tomorrow

What are the aspects  that have an impact on the need to ‘know’ yesterday?
