Synopsis -
Nirmala will share with us on the the psychology of knowledge sharing and how it can be leveraged to create collaborative organisations.
Join Nirmala as she shares on how several KM professionals perceive the KM functions to be comprising of three key components: Culture, Process and Technology. Professionals with significant experience are likely to agree that the most neglected and yet challenging component from among the three is building an organisational culture in which knowledge sharing is ubiquitous, encouraged , effective and celebrated ( emerging from a foundation of trust and respect )
It is, arguably, easier to demonstrate and discuss ideas related to process and tools, as they are tangible and measurable. However, to build a culture in which knowledge sharing thrives calls for understanding the human psyche, to start with. It is, subsequently, essential to understand how change can be ushered in which the active and enthusiastic participation of the collective workforce.
This sharing session introduces and investigates a framework of the human psyche that’s based on intentions. It goes on to briefly analyse the implications for knowledge managers who would like to see the business benefitting due to effective knowledge sharing and collaboration.
