Since 1997, Paolina Martin has been involved with strategies and initiatives to leverage knowledge for strategic advantage and organisational excellence. She has been both knowledge manager and external consultant, operating mainly within corporate environments. In 2008, she joined the Singapore Management University (SMU) to implement its institutional repository, a knowledge base for the intellectual assets of the University.
“Back to Basics” is about how having employed the same principles for managing knowledge in corporate environments, Paolina facilitated knowledge management strategies and implemented systems for the SMU academic environment. Sharing her experience at SMU as well as “showcasing” the repository InK, Institutional Knowledge at SMU, Paolina will contrast the approaches she used in corporate and academic environments to reinforce basic principles around how best to leverage knowledge.
